Mass murderer Jeremy Bamber who killed family could be freed in ‘endgame’

Jeremy Bamber could be cleared as his claims police lied, altered witness statements and tampered with the crime scene were not properly investigated.

He is serving life for the murders of adoptive parents Nevill and June Bamber, both 61, his sister Sheila, 28, inset, and her six-year-old twins Daniel and Nicholas at White House Farm in Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Essex, in 1985.

Now Bamber, 62, has taken a step towards freedom after the Independent Office for Police Conduct said cops breached their statutory duty by not referring 29 serious complaints to them about the case.

The Criminal Cases Review Commission is currently looking at fresh evidence submitted by his lawyers.

Bamber said: “This is the endgame.’’

Essex Police said it was a matter for the IOPC, which did not respond to a request to comment.

He was found guilty of shooting them all in 1985, in what was dubbed the White House Farm murders, so he would inherit the £500,000 estate near Maldon, Essex.

The Daily Star previously reported how the twisted killer bragged in prison about spending his last Christmas in the slammer due to his “utterly irrefutable” innocence.

At the time Bamber said: “I firmly expect that the freedom that was so unjustly taken from me will soon be restored.”
