Meghan Markle’s nephew reveals he quit booze & partying after hitting rock bottom as he expands huge cannabis empire

MEGHAN Markle’s nephew says he has quit booze, cigs and partying – after going to "hell and back" with anxiety – as he expands his huge cannabis empire.

Tyler Dooley, the son of Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr, is known for turning up to London with the rest of his family for Meghan and Harry's royal wedding in 2018 despite not having an invite – before being stopped by cops for having a four-inch knife in a nightclub.

However in an exclusive interview with The Sun, Tyler revealed he has turned his life around after hitting rock bottom when he was thrust into the spotlight thanks to his aunty Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry.

Now he says he is in a "really great" place and plans to expand his cannabis empire with the launch of a new website which will stock CBD products such as vapes, gummies and tinctures.

"I've had a long track record of party boy antics which has been well documented in the past," he told The Sun.

"But I'm over that now, I'm sober. I haven't had a drink in over 12 months.

My anxiety was at an all time high."

"I'm in such a better place than I was a few years ago and a lot of that was caused because of the frenzy around Meghan.

"I wish we'd had some kind of warning or assistance – like a debrief, something like 'This is about to hit you, so you need to get ready', when all the royal stuff happened. But there was nothing.

"My anxiety was at an all time high – it was just a rough place to be in.

Path to sobriety

"But honestly CBD – not just my products, I'm just talking about it in general -helped my life and my overall wellbeing in so many ways.

"I'm not on prescription drugs and I don't drink. This stuff is changing people's lives."

Tyler, who runs a huge multi-million dollar hemp farm, says he is sick of how he has been negatively portrayed and accused of "cashing in" on his famous auntie's celebrity.

I went through hell and back."

"You know Meghan makes this big claim of helping the world, of being a philanthropist, an activist, but I've been silent for a long time," he said.

"I went through hell and back. I was at the lowest of my lows because of all this royal s**t.

"And without any support, just my family, which I'm thankful for. She's [Meghan's] part of that but she wasn't there.

Lowest point

"But at my lowest point, I was able to, to find the strength, to find sobriety, to be sober, to live a better life

"It's been covered widely in the media that I'm a cannabis farmer and obviously there's all the stigma around it. Like I've been cashing in. But I've been doing that since I was 18-years-old, way before Megan was ever in this situation."

However, Royally Grown may face criticism as its new website will also sell controversial Delta-8 products which – although legal – have been classed as unsafe.

Products to 'blow your mind'

The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) warned last year they can have serious health risks including vomiting, hallucinations and loss of consciousness.

Products that Royally Grown have posted on social media include pre-rolled joints and a Delta-8 vape pen , pictures of which were posted on Instagram with the caption “Smoke Royally 💨👑🍃”

They’re also offering Delta-8 and Delta-10 CBD gummies, which they say "will blow your mind", along with "pure Delta-8 and Delta-10 CBD oil".

Delta-8 has been sparking controversy in the US because although it is legal at a federal level – it’s classed as a CBD product – it contains THC and can have a similar effect as normal cannabis.

CBD, also known as cannabinoids, is used to alleviate medical conditions and improve people’s health, rather than THC, which is the psychoactive ingredient of the cannabis plant and gives the high sensation.

Delta-8 is a substance which is derived from CBD and contains THC.

Hospitalisations

The FDA stated that Delta-8 had not been approved by them “for safe use in any context”.

They said it contains “psychoactive and intoxicating effects” and statistics show national poison control centres received 661 exposure cases in the last three years, with 18% requiring hospitalisation including children who were admitted into intensive care.

It added that "adverse events included vomiting, hallucinations, trouble standing, and loss of consciousness."

Tyler hit back at the warnings stating that his products are 100 percent safe, rigorously tested and have provided huge benefits to users – including better sleep, improved appetite and anxiety relief.

He added: "You should be aware of companies that you choose, most of the companies out there that are selling these products don't even farm.

Strict testing

"We set ourselves apart here because we are farm to table and customers can see the products being made every step of the way.

"Our products are also subject to the most strict compliance testing in the country. Laws in Oregon are very strict. We have to test so many times and it gets very expensive, but it ensures a consistent product that's safe. And we offer a lot of transparency in our company and all of our lab testings are online.

"We care about our customers and we care about what we're putting in our bodies. This is grown by us for us. That's how it started.
