Moment Hillary Clinton pops into British seaside fish and chop for tea
HILLARY Clinton didn’t look out of plaice when she popped into a British seaside chippy for tea.
The former US First Lady spent two hours at Colmans restaurant enjoying a portion of traditional fish and chips.
Owner Richard Colman Ord, 29, said: “She really spent a lot of time with all of our guests.
“She had a local crab salad to start and then had our classic fish and chips — and she loved the tartar sauce so much she had seconds.”
Mrs Clinton, 74, was in Tyne and Wear to deliver the annual South Shields Lecture.
She turned up at the seafront shop with the area’s former Labour MP David Miliband.

Richard, who runs it with his dad, also Richard, said he knew she was coming but added: “It isn’t every day that Hillary Clinton pops into your restaurant.”
She arrived flanked by secret service agents before her £12.95 salad and fish and chips, which also usually costs the same.
Richard said: “She had a great time.
“She was so engaging with the guests and so accommodating with the staff.

“We didn’t charge them for the meal as it’s something we do every year with David Miliband.
“But she’s one of the biggest names we’ve had.”
