Nearly two dozen knock-off Rolexes seized at JFK
Authorities seized nearly two dozen knockoff Rolexes at John F. Kennedy International Airport before they could be sold to unsuspecting buyers, officials said Monday.
US Customs and Border Protection officers found the 19 bogus watches June 15 while inspecting a shipment from Hong Kong.
The total value of the genuine version of those watches would be around $285,000, according to the company.
“This most recent interception of counterfeit watches demonstrates the ongoing vigilance and commitment to our Agency’s mission by our CBP officers and import specialists,” said Marty Raybon, acting director of CBP’s New York Field Office.
