South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed on Thursday morning their neighbours had fired at least one projectile into the Sea of Japan.

The launch is believed to be Pyongyang’s sixth set in January alone.

North Korea conducted an additional six launches throughout the entirety of 2021, according to defence experts.
