An off-duty NYPD cop was busted in Queens for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a squabble over a phone, police said Tuesday.
Christopher Valencia, 28, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Monday and charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment in connection to the incident that left his girlfriend with minor injuries, authorities said.
The alleged assault happened inside his home, in the confines of the 110th Precinct, which covers Corona and Elmhurst, according to police.
Police said the violence stemmed from a dispute over a phone, but had no further details.
Valencia has been with the NYPD for about 3.5 years and works in his home borough, according to authorities.
