Princess Beatrice ‘brokenhearted’ over Queen as husband releases unseen photo

A rare, unseen picture of the Queen alongside husband Prince Philip during the wedding of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to Princess Beatrice has been shared by the “heartbroken” couple.

The stunning image, posted on Edoardo's Instagram page, shows the couple smiling, with flowers in the background.

Paying tribute to her, Mr Mozzi, who is married to the Queen's granddaughter wrote: “Incredibly hard to process the last 24 hours. What an incredible woman and extraordinary mark she’s left on the entire world. She was the rock on which modern Britain was built.

“Feeling very lucky that our little ones got to spend wonderful time with her this summer. Rest is Peace Your Majesty (sic). We will miss you so much. Broken-hearted.”

The post was shared to his more than 100,000 followers and has already been liked by around 13,500 people.

The wedding took place at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Royal Lodge in Windsor on July 17, 2020.

Due to the pandemic rules at the time, it was a private wedding ceremony, and one of the last times the Queen and Prince Philip were pictured together.

Philip died on April 9, 2021, and the Queen died on Thursday (September 8) 2022.

The post from Princess Beatrice's husband quickly filled up with comments paying tribute to the Queen and family.

Royal wedding photographer Benjamin Wheeler posted: “Beautiful words Edo, I am so deeply sorry to you both and your families at this sad time. Feeling so honoured to have met Her Majesty on your wedding day and taken these photographs with you all. Sending love”

And another user wrote: “I‘m so sorry for your loss. I‘m sending strength over to you in these hard times. My thoughts are with you and your family.”

King Charles III is set to make his maiden speech at around 6pm today, where he is expected to pay tribute to his late mother, the Queen.
