Putin propagandists discuss nuclear war because ‘who needs world without Russia’

Vladimir Putin propagandists have issued a terrifying nuclear threat to the US and the rest of the West, declaring that "this is the prelude to World War 3".

Analysts on state TV discussed how Russia should respond to Joe Biden's support for Ukraine in the ongoing war between the two countries, claiming that the move would result in the death of many Westerners.

The clip, translated and posted to Twitter by journalist and Russian Media Monitor founder Julia Davis, saw host Margarita Simonyan declare neither the US nor Russia would back down if war broke out between the two nations, Newsweek reported.

She said a nuclear war would likely lead to mutual destruction, but asked: "Who needs the world if Russia is not in it?"

Russian State Duma (parliament) member Andrey Kartapolov added: "There is no doubt that this is the prelude to World War Three."

"This can only end with an immediate threat that is voiced and presented, a threat of a nuclear confrontation," she added.

Other analysts on the show disagreed, with co-host Vladimir Solovyov suggesting Russia should preemptively strike equipment being prepared in the US to be sent to Ukraine and political scientist Sergey Mikheyev claiming Putin's soldiers could take out "tens of thousands" of American soldiers.

However, one commentator named a US citizen who should be spare of the atrocities suggested by his fellow analysts.

Dmitry Drobnitsky, described as an "Americanist," said: "In our country, we embraced one American we wouldn't want to kill.

"That would be Tucker Carlson."

Carlson, a controversial host on Fox News, has received backlash for his comments on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which have been described as being sympathetic to Russian invaders.

Clips from his nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight have been shared by Russian state TV.

The presenter even hinted that Joe Biden may have been responsible for the destruction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline last year.

"In early February, less than three weeks before the war in Ukraine began, Joe Biden suggested on camera that he might take out these pipelines," said Carlson.

"He said, there won’t be a Nord Stream 2. We’ll put an end to it. We will take it out. We will blow it up."

The threats come following news that Russia had developed a number of new weapons to help them continue the fight in Ukraine.

Speaking to pro-Putin media, Russian military expert Alexey Leonkov responded to news that the UK and other NATO countries would be sending Challenger Two and possibly Leopard tanks to Ukraine in a show of support for President Volodymyr Zelensky, warning Russia would retaliate.

“[We can destroy them] with the help of old Soviet anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) called Malyutka," Leonkov said.

“In general, a tank is a breakthrough weapon, but NATO will not be able to provide a large number of them.

“The Ukrainian command can use them in the next attempts to counterattack – the question here is rather what tactics the Armed Forces of Ukraine will use.”
