Royal fans adore ‘Girl Dad’ Wills as Charlotte and Kate join him at swimming

Gushing royal fans have dubbed Prince William an adorable "Girl Dad" after he and Kate Middleton were spotted with Princess Charlotte at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Three fifths of the Cambridge clan were in attendance at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre today (Tuesday, August 2) to take in the swimming.

They weren't the only royals there either, with Prince Edward – Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation – and wife Sophie Wessex also in the crowd with their teenage daughter Lady Louise Windsor and son James, Viscount Severn.

Retweeting one of the poolside snaps, one person wrote: "This photo of Princess Charlotte, Prince William and Catherine is ADORABLE. Prince William is so proud of his little girl — all his children. Love our #GirlDad Prince."

Another said: "I love this photo of Prince William and Princess Charlotte. They have such a wonderful father, daughter relationship."

"Absolutely love this picture! Our Duke is such a proud dad," wrote a third.

"Daddy's girl. Think our Little Princess is starting her own fashion style here. Enjoy your day Sweetheart," a fourth said, referencing Charlotte's black and white striped dress.

This was William's first public appearance since he watched England's Lionesses secure a historic win at Wembley in the Women's Euro Final on Sunday (July 31).

Before the match, he and Charlotte appeared in a cute clip on Twitter wishing the team all the best.
