A Connecticut woman wanted for dozens of car break-ins has been accused of crashing into eight police cruisers and injuring seven officers during a wild chase on Sunday that ended with her smashing her white Hummer into a pole and being taken into custody.

Hannah Casperson, 25, was suspected of helping her boyfriend, 31-year-old Thomas Crawford, vandalize and ransack 41 parked vehicles in and around Waterbury last week.

Casperson, from Brookfield, was out on probation during the incidents.

Crawford was spotted at a grocery store shopping for meat on Thursday night and placed under arrest, but his girlfriend managed to get away.

Waterbury police said city officers tracked down Casperson on Sunday, after receiving information about her location and approached the white 2006 Hummer H2 she was in shortly after 8.30am.

When cops with guns drawn tried to talk to Casperson in the area of Rutledge and East Main streets, the woman struck a cruiser and clipped a utility pole before driving off.

Police then attempted to corner Casperson again at Brass Mill Drive and East Main Street, but she hit a cruiser before entering onto Interstate 84 westbound.

Casperson reportedly struck six more cruisers before losing control and wrapping her Hummer ultimately around a utility pole about 25 miles away in the area of Monroe Turnpike and Wheeler Road in Monroe, reported News 12.

Police say Casperson struck seven more cruisers between Waterbury and Monroe

Seven police officers were injured, with six of them requiring hospitalization

Casperson eventually slammed her Hummer into a utility police in Monroe, causing massive damage to the vehicle

Casperson was taken to a hospital in a stable condition to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. She faces dozens of charges

She was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport and was listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Six officers were taken to a hospital and later discharged, police said. Another injured officer did not need hospital treatment, officials said.

Police said Casperson was expected to face charges related to Sunday’s chase after being discharged from the hospital. They said there were multiple warrants pending for her arrest on other charges.

Court records show she pleaded guilty in November to criminal mischief and failure to appear in court and was sentenced to 18 months of probation. She also has a pending case in which she is charged with interfering with police and has pleaded not guilty.

Crawford was charged with 41 counts each of burglary, conspiracy at burglary and larceny, and criminal mischief. He is being held at the Wolcott Police Department on $75,000 bond.
