Sonic Hard Seltzer is coming to Colorado

Sonic Drive-In’s official hard seltzer is coming to Colorado, a sure to delight anyone who’s ever purchased a Cherry Limeade and spiked it with a healthy helping of vodka.

The seltzers, created in partnership with Oklahoma’s COOP Ale Works, debuted in 2021 with nostalgic flavors such as Ocean Water, Cherry Limeade and Classic Lemonade. Each can is 5% alcohol content and 100 calories.

The fast-food restaurant signature ice is not included, though some locations have been known to sell it. And from the looks of it, these would probably do well on the rocks.

Drinkers will find Sonic Hard Seltzers in two variety packs, each with 12 cans. The tropical pack features Ocean Water, Melon Medley, Mango Guava and Orange Pineapple and flavors, while the citrus collection features Cherry Limeade, Original Limeade, Classic Lemonade and Lemon Berry flavors.

Colorado is one of 21 new states where the seltzers will soon be available. According to a spokesperson, they’ve already begun to hit shelves and will be more widely available in the coming weeks.

Sonic is just the latest big-name company to bring the seltzer game to Colorado. Last March, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer came to the Rocky Mountains after much fanfare elsewhere.
