An MP suspended from the Conservative Party over allegations of drug use and sexual misconduct has now been accused of financial irregularities.
David Warburton had the Tory whip removed after he was pictured next to white powder said to be cocaine, and is being probed amid claims of unwanted sexual comments and touching.
The married father of two was also found by a parliamentary watchdog to have breached its code of conduct over a £150,000 loan.
Now it has been claimed he received a secret £25,000 donation, and submitted a fake statement to unlock a seven-figure mortgage application, according to The Sunday Times.
He denied the fresh allegations, and said his agent should have disclosed the donation on the MPs’ register of interests.
