War-hungry Vladimir Putin could fight the West from space, expert warns

Vladimir Putin could wage war on the West from space, Britain's Chief of the Defence Staff said in a chilling warning.

The warmonger may be poised to target the UK's GPS and communication satellites which if attacked, would cut Britain off from the rest of the world, said Admiral Sir Tony Radakin.

And a space attack wouldn't come on its won, he – the Russian despot could use both sabotage submarines and nuclear weapons to deliver a triple blow.

Radakin said: "[Russia] has capabilities in space. We saw an example of that at the tail end of last year, when Russia exploded an object in space which created immense debris.

"Russia has nuclear capabilities, Russia has underwater capabilities."

Last year Russia tested a ground-based missile that blew up one of its own satellites a whopping 300 miles above the earth.

Until recently much of Putin's war was fought on land and in the air.

However this week the West launched an investigation into four blasts that destroyed the undersea Nord Stream pipeline, which provides gas to several European nations including Germany.

The West has accused Russia of using secret sabotage subs to carry out the attack and cutting much of Europe off from its energy supply.

Speaking of the incident, Radakin told the Telegraph: "Russia has the ability to disrupt in other areas in addition to what it’s doing in Ukraine, what it’s doing in energy and what it’s doing in these diplomatic and information battles."

Radakin's warning comes following Putin's illegal annexation of four Ukrainian territories comprising an eye-watering 15% of the besieged nation and marking a huge escalation in the war.

To mark the land grab, the largest of its kind since World War II, the dictator gave a threatening speech in which he renewed the terrifying nuclear threats he made against the West when he announced his partial mobilisation of Russian troops last week (September 21).

He promised to "protect" the annexed regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk "with all the forces and means at our disposal."

His power-hungry grab comes after the Kremlin ran a series of sham referendums in the area that reportedly saw the people within those regions vote overwhelmingly in favour of becoming part of Russia.

"The people have made their choice. An unequivocal choice … This is the will of millions of people," Putin said.

He worryingly added the citizens of the four occupied regions would be part of Russia "forever."
