Weston-super-Mare death: Man dies at campsite as cops called in to probe tragedy | The Sun

A MAN has died at a campsite as police were called in to probe the tragedy.

Cops were called to Uphill Road North in Weston-super-Mare, north Somerset, at 8.23am on September 23.

Paramedics were responding to a "medical incident" at a campsite, before Avon and Somerset Police arrived.

The force said a man died at the scene.

It is not being treated as suspicious and a file for the coroner will be prepared.

A statement from police said: "We were called to support the ambulance service at 8.23am on Saturday 23 September with a medical incident they were responding to at a campsite in Uphill Road North.

"Sadly one man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Officers attended and the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

"The man's family have been informed. Our sympathies are with them."
