Woman accused of stealing Emily In Paris star Lily Collins’ wedding and engagement rings, and credit cards from West Hollywood spa created fake IDs to buy $67,000 in jewelry

• Andreea Catalina Rosca is being sought by cops over the theft from May 
• The alleged thief stole the actress’ credit cards and jewelry 
• She is accused of forging a fake identity with Collins’ stolen items 

The thief who allegedly stole ‘exceptionally rare’ wedding rings and credit cards from actress Lily Collins has been identified by investigators. 

An arrest warrant has been issued for Andreea Catalina Rosca, who allegedly stole the ‘Emily in Paris’ star’s belongings from a spa at a luxury Los Angeles hotel in May. 

The LA County Sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s assistance in catching the suspect, who has links to Romanian organized theft groups, cops say. 

Rosca allegedly stole the actress’ engagement ring, wedding band, electronics and credit cards, as well as using stolen information to create fake IDs and buy over $67,000 in jewelry.

Andreea Catalina Rosca is being sought by cops in connection with the theft, and she allegedly has links to Romanian organized crime 

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, who allegedly used the alias Nicole Morri 

Rosca is accused of forging a new identity with a Washington State ID card with her criminal exploits, creating a fake ID under the name ‘Nicole Morri.’ 

Anyone with information about Rosca is urged to contact the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Office; she is described as a female white adult, approximately 34 years old, 5′ 1″, 100 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Her alleged links to Romanian organized crime has seen her travel across the United States targeting unsuspecting victims, with Collins becoming one after taking a luxury spa trip in the spring. 

Collins, 34, was enjoying a relaxing day in West Hollywood when she placed her high-value items in storage at the hotel spa. 

When the star returned, she found her belongings had been swiped, but there was no sign of forced entry.

The theft occurred in May at the the West Hollywood EDITION Hotel on Sunset Boulevard

Initial investigations of the spa theft found no signs of forced entry, with Collins losing a number of valuable items also including credit cards and electronics 

Collins revealed the ring was specially designed, and an appraiser described it as ‘exceptionally rare’ 

The ‘Emily in Paris’ star said the high-value gem was ‘exactly what she wanted’ 

Collins previously told of her heartbreak at losing her treasured engagement ring, revealing that it had been specially designed by her husband, filmmaker Charlie McDowell. 

Speaking on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Lily revealed: ‘It’s a rose-cut diamond. Charlie designed it with Irene [Irene Neuwirth Jewellery]’.

Collins and McDowell got engaged in September 2020 and tied the knot the following year. 

Bonnie Dudeney, a private jeweller gave her expert opinion on the gem to HELLO! Online, saying: ‘This looks like a very pretty rose-cut diamond and at a guess probably weighs between 2 or 3 carats.

‘This style of diamond always appears larger because it is cut flatter than traditional, modern diamonds. It’s lovely ‘light pink’ colour and is exceptionally rare.

‘While hard to place a value on it, it would certainly command a retail price upwards of £65,000.’

Collins got engaged to filmmaker Charlie McDowell – who designed the ring with a jeweler –  in September 2020 and the couple tied the knot the following year

Collins is among several A-list celebrities who have been targeted by thieves in recent years, with a Los Angeles man sentenced to 31 years in prison this week for a slate of robberies in Hollywood. 

Benjamin Ackerman, 37, was sentenced on Wednesday for masterminding burglaries of the rich and famous by posing as a real estate agent. 

He was snared for his role in stealing millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry, designer purses, shoes and artwork from celebrity victims including Usher and Adam Lampert. 

Throughout a near-two-year spree from December 2016 to July 2018, at least $5.5 million was taken from homes – with one Beverly Hills home losing 150 luxury items totaling $2.5 million in a single raid.
