Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann tells Kate McCann ‘I know your voice’

A woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann said she "knows" mum Kate McCann's voice in a bombshell interview.

Julia Wendell, from Poland, insists she might be the missing child who vanished from a Portugal family holiday back in 2007, and is now anxiously awaiting the results of DNA tests taken earlier this month.

Speaking to RadarOnline, Julia made a desperate plea to Madeleine's mum, claiming she "really believes" she could be her long-lost child.

"I want to say something to Kate McCann: I listened to a song that you sang to your daughter Madeleine," Julia said.

"When I hear your voice – from movies, from interviews – I feel like I really know this voice, your voice. I really believe that I could be Madeleine."

Julia then addressed the family as a whole, saying: "I have a message to McCann's family – I want to say that I really believe I can be Madeleine, your daughter."

The 21-year-old has taken three DNA samples and a genetics test, the results of which private investigator and self-proclaimed psychic working on the case, Dr Fia Johansson, says should arrive any day now.

Taking to Instagram earlier this week, Dr Johansson said in a live video: “A lot of you ask why Kate and Gerry (are not involved).

“There is no need – Madeleine McCann's DNA is already there. […] They don't need to get involved with media press.

"When the DNA test comes, which I am really badly waiting for and checking every day the status of it, we will match with a DNA test of [Madeleine] McCann.

"[She could also match] anyone else out there looking for their kid that may [be] missing at that time."

Dr Johansson also announced this morning (March 24) Julia would be appearing on Dr Phil, a much-loved talk show watched by millions in America, on Monday (March 27).

Dr Johansson, sharing the news on Instagram, wrote: "I’m very happy for Julia getting a platform to courageously speak up, shedding light on her violent and abusive past and hopefully bringing her closer to justice!"

Julia's claims that she might be Madeleine, who would now be 19, began when she set up the now-deleted @IAmMadeleineMcCann Instagram account, which quickly amassed over one million followers in the short time it was active.

There she laid out the evidence for her sensational theory, including that she looks similar to e-fits predicting what Madeleine would look like today as well as other members of the McCann family.

She says they both have the same rare eye condition – a coloboma in her right eye, which makes the pupil appear misshapen when part of the tissue is missing.

Julia also claims to have very few memories of her childhood, and Dr Johansson couldn't find any hospital records from Julia in the city she supposedly grew up in for the first five years of her life.

But even if she isn't Madeleine, Dr Johansson is convinced Julia was trafficked into Poland.

"She still [went] through a lot of pain and she still needs my help, your help, and all the world[’s] women's help," she said.

"Am I going to back off even if I find out she’s not Madeleine McCann? Of course not."
