Eagle County deputies shoot, kill man during domestic situation
A man died Tuesday night after Eagle County deputies shot him during an alleged domestic situation.
Deputies responded to a domestic call for service in Edwards involving an armed man and a woman about 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release. While at the scene, the news release states the deputies attempted to de-escalate the situation from the front porch, but the man reportedly came outside armed with a gun.
Deputies fired shots, and the man died. No one else was injured.
The deputies, who have not been identified, have been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
