Richard Neal said there was a “vagueness” from the UK around the trade deal but warned that “any incautious move to undo the Protocol” would put the Good Friday Agreement at risk. Addressing Irish senators he added: “The number one priority for the United States on this island is to ensure that the hard-won peace in Northern Ireland is preserved and reinforced. “The Good Friday Agreement worked because it had something in it for all sides. It happened because those involved acted together in good faith and the hardest men and women had to make that agreement.” Mr Neal is leading a US delegation in Northern Ireland, which is due to travel to Belfast on Wednesday.

‘It’s up to London’- US wades in on protocol row

Richard Neal said it is “up to London” to solve the issues surrounding the Northern Ireland Protocol. 

The Senior US Democrat said there is a “vagueness” from the UK but warned that “any incautious move to undo the Protocol” would put the Good Friday Agreement at risk. 

During a trip to Northern Ireland he addressed Irish senators adding: “

‘Thank you Brexit’- Remoaner blames Brexit for hour-long visa wait

Jon Snow unleashed an explosive rant, blaming Brexit for an hour-long wait to obtain a visa for filming in Greece.

The former Channel 4 news anchor and veteran journalist tweeted: “Thank you BREXIT!

“Thanks to you after a £100 train journey from London I am sitting in a visa office in Manchester to get a visa for filming in Greece.

“An hour wait so far and another train back.

“Thanks BREXIT! What a boon to trade!”
