Darren Bett outlined that the wettest weather across the continent will be in the south of Europe. The BBC meteorologist added that Poland and parts of Germany will experience conditions similar to winter over the two days.

Mr Bett said: “The wettest weather across Europe continues to be in the south although it is going to be drying off in the western side of the Mediterranian.

“Cloud that we have got here is accompanied by some strong winds and that is going to be pushing its way further east.

“While it is cold across many parts of Europe, you can see that we are going to see some snow over the higher ground and a threat of some blizzards as well.”

The BBC Meteorologist continued: “There is some sunshine in the south of France but at the same time, we do have this band of cloud here moving its way southwards.

“It could bring some wintriness particularly in Poland and parts of Germany as well.

“It will be clearing away by the time we get to Monday sunshine does follow on.

“There is cold air and we still have wetter weather across this eastern part of Europe.”

The BBC’s Matt Taylor stated that Sunday will be another dry day across the majority of the UK.

BBC Weather: UK set for warmer temperatures and sunshine

Mr Taylor said: “By Sunday morning, there could be a touch of frost tomorrow morning for northern half of the country.

“It will be a bit damp and drizzly first thing for southern counties of England and Wales.

“But for most it is another dry day, with temperatures highest around 13C to 15C in southern England.”

The Met Office has forecast colder temperatures and unsettled conditions towards the end of March.

The Met Office state: “There is a risk of morning frost and fog patches, particularly in the west.

“Daytime temperatures will potentially be colder than average in the south, particularly the southeast at first, where showers may be wintry at times, and on the milder side elsewhere.

“The end of the period will most likely see another period of unsettled weather, with spells of rain and some strong winds crossing all parts of the UK, interspersed with drier and brighter interludes.

“Temperatures are expected to be at or slightly below average for this time of year by the end of the period.”
