Death Row ‘Ninja Killer’ set to be executed after victim recalls ‘trauma’

A Death Row murderer dubbed the 'Ninja Killer' is slated for execution later today (Wednesday, April 12) after a surviving victim recalled a "traumatic" encounter.

Evil Louis Gaskin, 56, carried out a ruthless shooting spree in 1989, and is set to be killed after a death warrant was approved and passed.

Gaskin was responsible for the murders of Robert and Georgette Sturmfels, where Gaskin also attacked Mary "Noreen" Rector and her at-the-time husband, Joseph.

The double murderer, now housed in a Florida, United States prison, told a psychologist at the time of the shootings that "the devil had more of a hold than God".

Gaskin has frequently tried and failed to appeal his death sentence, which will be carried out later today as Noreen "relives" the horrifying attempt on her life.

Recalling the horror night and Gaskin's death sentence to NewYorkPost, she wrote: "Consequently, I have had to reflect, relive, remember all that has happened since that night."

The Death Row inmate had searched for random victims while kitted out in black clothing on the night of December 20, 1989, blasting Robert and Georgette Sturmfels with a .22-calibre rifle.

His carnage continued after firing fatal rounds into the home, which he entered, executing the husband and wife, according to court documents from the time.

According to Flagler County Sheriff representative Mark Carman, Gaskin had compared his victims to that of dying hogs.

Gaskin had encountered Noreen and Joseph at their home too, with the couple able to escape by car and drive to a hospital, with Joseph narrowly surviving as the 56-year-old shot at the vehicle.

Rector, who is sure she had "PTSD from the fear, the terror", has since said she does not support the execution and would be satisfied with Gaskin remaining in prison "without the possibility of release."

She added that "sharing what we thought would be our last words, just trying to figure out what the hell had just happened to us" was a deeply traumatic experience.
