Denver police arrest suspect and seize more than 200 pounds of illegal drugs.

A drug suspect was arrested on Thursday by Denver police and hundreds of pounds of suspected  illegal drugs, and about 9,000 fentanyl tablets, were seized.

The suspect was arrested in the 3000 block of Race Street and search warrants were served at two residences, one on Race Street and the other in the 12100 block of Amherst Circle, Aurora, according to a DPD news release.

Suspected illegal drugs seized, according to police, are:

  • 179 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 43 pounds of cocaine
  • 7 pounds of heroin
  • 7 pounds of crack cocaine
  • 1.7 pounds of fentanyl (between 8,000 to 10,000 pills)

Twenty firearms were also seized, police said.

The suspect was held for investigation of two counts of manufacturing or distributing a controlled substance greater than 225 grams and manufacturing or distributing a controlled substance  greater than 14 to 225 grams.
