Denver weather: Foggy Friday morning before cool, cloudy afternoon

Morning commuters in the Denver area should be aware of patchy fog this morning before the coolest day of the season so far.

The fog will be patchy throughout the area and will last until about 11 a.m., then a cool, cloudy day is expected to end this week after an early morning cold front blew through the area.

The high Friday is 55 degrees, with a 10% chance of rain in the afternoon at night before midnight. The low Friday is 40 degrees.

Come the weekend, though, a warming trend will start and bring temperatures back up gradually, and forecasts for next Tuesday are sunny and 75 degrees.

Saturday’s high is 10 degrees warmer than Friday at 65 degrees, and Sunday is 70 degrees. Monday will see a high of 73 degrees. Low temperatures all weekend will be around the low 40s.

Aside from a 10% chance of rain on Saturday, the weekend looks to be mostly dry and sunny as it warms up.

In the mountains this weekend, highs will be in the 40s, with some snow showers possible most of the weekend. Little to no accumulation is expected, though.
