Gary Glitter rape survivor breaks down into tears at pop paedo’s prison release
A woman was left in tears after discovering her rapist Gary Glitter is due to be released.
Despite serving just half of his sentence, the 78-year-old paedophile will leave prison early in 2023, eight years after he was put there.
He was sentenced in 2015 to 16 years in the cage for crimes committed between 1975 and 1980.

The anonymous Mrs D, 27, was in a house in Vietnam in 2005 when she was attacked repeatedly by Glitter, real name Paul Glad.
"I’m still serving a life sentence,” she said.
She has pledged she will see him before court in a claim for compensation.
"He is free to enjoy his money and his life now, but I live with what that man did to me every day of my life."
She was taken by Glitter to his villa where he committed multiple forms of abuse and later gave evidence against him ahead of his deportation back to the UK.

She claims there are other victims in Vietnam still and hopes that despite his upcoming release he will be slapped with a travel ban.
He is expected to face restrictions from tagging.
Among his crimes, Glitter had sex with a girl below the age of 13, molested another and tried to rape a third.
Glitter’s early release is unlikely to be independently reviewed regarding possible public risk due to receiving a ‘determinate stance’.
Mrs D is understood to still suffer nightmares about Glitter, who was also sentenced to four months in prison for possessing images of child abuse.
She dropped out of school aged 14 following the incident.
She is understood to have been scared about being connected to the case in Vietnam, as there is often a stigma around victims of sexual abuse in the country, theMirrorreports.
She lives in Mekong Delta in the south of the country, where she told theMail: "I will never find anyone to love me, and I will never be able to marry because of what happened.
"No man here will accept someone with my past."
