Sarah Everard's evil killer Wayne Couzens is facing a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
The former Metropolitan police officer murdered the innocent 33-year-old as she walked home from a pal's home in Clapham, south London, on March 3.
Couzens, who pleaded guilty to Sarah's kidnap, rape and murder, worked for an elite Westminster-based unit which protects diplomats, VIPs and high-profile buildings in the capital.
But away from his important job and seemingly happy family life, the 48-year-old was hiding sick perversions that escalated into the tragic murder of Sarah.
Couzens is a dad-of-two and lived in Deal, Kent, with his Ukrainian-born wife Elena, 38, and their young children.
The coastal town is around 75 miles away from Clapham, where he intercepted Sarah.
The couple met around 15 years ago.

Couzens was in the Army Reserves, serving in the 3rd battalion, the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, for two years from 2002, while he was also a mechanic at the garage run by his family.
He started working for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary in 2011 and stayed there for seven years until transferring to the Met.

It was during this seven-year stint that Couzens was first accused of indecent exposure in 2015, a full six years before Sarah's murder.
Kent Police is now being investigated by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over whether it handled the allegations properly back then.
The IOPC is also probing whether the Met failed to investigate two allegations of indecent exposure relating to Couzens in February of this year, just days before the killing.

The police watchdog has received a string of referrals relating to the Couzens case, with 12 officers being investigated.
Couzens had just finished a 12-hour shift in South London when he abducted Sarah in a hire car on March 3 on her fateful walk home. He was not on duty at the time of her disappearance.
It is claimed he worked a relief-shift at the American Embassy in Nine Elms, about three miles from where Sarah went missing, until 8pm on the night of the abduction.

No-one knows what possessed the former cop to end the innocent life of a stranger and the pair were not known to each other.
But after his guilty verdict at the Old Bailey details emerged of the elaborate plan he concocted during his police interviews in a desperate bid to evade justice.
Couzens claimed to be having financial problems and dreamed up an unlikely story about getting into trouble with a gang of Eastern Europeans who had threatened him and his family.

The gang demanded he deliver "another girl" after he underpaid a prostitute a few weeks beforehand.
Couzens originally claimed he had kidnapped Sarah, drove her out of London and handed her over to three Eastern European men in a layby in Kent, still alive and uninjured.
But the vile ex-police officer eventually admitted the truth.
Couzens rented the hire car in his own name, which eventually linked him to Sarah.

Two days after she was last seen her Couzens was caught on CCTV buying two green rubble bags at B&Q in Dover, Kent.
Her remains were eventually found dumped in a stream inside one of the bags six days after her disappearance, and she had to be identified by her dental records.
