Mystery as married couple found shot dead at Utah campsite days after texting pals that man had been ‘creeping them out’

A MARRIED couple was found shot dead at a campsite – days after texting friends that a man had allegedly been “creeping them out”.

Kylen Schulte, 24, and Crystal Turner, 38, were found dead by a friend in the La Sal mountain range in Utah on Wednesday.

The couple, of Moab, had been married for just four months and they lived in their camper van, Fox13 reports.

Cops are investigating their deaths as homicides but they haven’t identified or arrested a suspect.

Kylen’s aunt Bridget Calvert said the couple had told family and friends about a man who allegedly creeped them out near the campsite.

She told Fox: “They said they were going to move, they were going to pack up and move their campsite, that he was still creeping them out.”

Kylen, of Montana, and Crystal, originally from Arkansas, failed to turn up for work two days in a row, prompting family and friends to start searching for the couple.

Kylen's dad Sean-Paul posted an appeal on Facebook on August 17, asking residents to find “my girls” after they didn’t get in contact with him.

A friend discovered one of their bodies at the campsite before calling the police, the New York Post reports.

Officers from the Grand County’s Sheriff's Office found the other body – moments after arriving on the scene.

Bridget paid tribute to Kylen, describing her niece as "always positive".

She said: “Her having such a beautiful soul to see it complimented with someone like Crystal – that they could really enjoy life and do it together."

Police believe the public is not in danger as they think it was an isolated incident.

Anyone with information that could help officers should call the police at 435-259-8115.
