A manhunt is under way for a man believed to have sexually assaulted two kids on a bus on their way home from school.

Two young schoolgirls, riding without their parents, were reportedly sexually assaulted during the horror incident, sparking an urgent investigation.

The 12-year-olds were inappropriately touched in Bristol in July by a creep, and police have released an image of a man with massive shades and a beard that they'd like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The children were on the 48A bus between 7-7.30pm on Tuesday July 5 when an unknown man inappropriately touched them, according to police.

The youngsters were headed from Fishponds Road towards Broadmead in the city in south west England.

Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing to the public to help identify the man after they have reviewed CCTV footage.

In a statement, police said: "We continue to provide the victims, who were 12 years old at the time, with access to any support they require.

"CCTV enquiries have been carried out and officers investigating these matters are releasing an image of a man who we want to talk to in connection with these assaults.

"Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man should call 101 and give reference number 5222159882 ."

Avon and Somerset Police has said that both victims are being offered support following the assault.

It comes as Londoner Albert Gago, 65, was jailed for a similar crime.

The Hackney man, dubbed "dangerous" by police was sentenced to two years and three months for his crimes, on October 7.

He will also be on the sex offender’s register for 10 years.

The court heard how he sexually assaulted eight girls, aged between 12 and 16, on buses in Enfield, Hackney and Camden between September 2021 and June 2022.
