Russia war fears ramp up as Dutch Air Force deploys fighter aircraft to counter threat

The Dutch Air Force says it has deployed two fighter aircrafts in response to Russian bomber planes entering its airspace, according to De Telegraaf.

Two Russian Tu-160 bombers are reported to have entered Dutch airspace over the North Sea.

In response, the Netherlands sent two F-16 fighter aircrafts.

De Telegraaf reports that there are always two F-16 aircraft ready in the area to respond to encroachment by foreign forces.

Tensions between the countries are rising and it is believed that Russian bombers have recently been flying through the airspace more often.
