Bank Holiday for Queen's funeral CONFIRMED – when will you get a day off?

Prince William invited his brother to the walkabout in an indication he may be willing to forget their reported feud through the grief.

It comes after King Charles III yesterday expressed his "love" for Harry and Meghan in his first address to the nation.

And Prince William today paid tribute to his "grannie" the Queen, who he said was by his side during the happiest and saddest moments of his life.

It comes as…

  • Charles was today officially proclaimed King in a historic ceremony
  • The Queen's funeral date was confirmed
  • Prince William released a heart-warming tribute to his "grannie"
  • Royals including Princess Eugenie were brought to tears as they looked at tributes left to the Queen in Scotland
  • Meghan and Harry joined William and Kate to speak with mourners at Windsor

He said: "On Thursday, the world lost an extraordinary leader, whose commitment to the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth was absolute.

"So much will be said in the days ahead about the meaning of her historic reign.

"I, however, have lost a grandmother. And while I will grieve her loss, I also feel incredibly grateful. I have had the benefit of The Queen’s wisdom and reassurance into my fifth decade.

"She was by my side at my happiest moments. And she was by my side during the saddest days of my life.

"I knew this day would come, but it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real."
