When will steam rooms and saunas reopen?

BORIS JOHNSON has revealed when steam rooms and saunas can open again in the UK.

The Prime Minister has unveiled the four-part plan that he hopes will guide the country out of lockdown.

When will saunas and steam rooms reopen?

Saunas and steam rooms should be able to reopen in stage two on April 12.

Gyms, as well as hairdressers and nail salons, are also set to open on this date.

Meanwhile, hotels will be able to reopen from May 17.

Rules will remain in place to ensure saunas and steam rooms are as safe as possible.

What will the new rules be?

It is expected that the capacity will be restricted to 50 per cent.

Users could be given fixed times and staggered slots to enter the sauna or steam room.

Facilities need to stick to 2m social distancing, including marked seating points in each room.

Facilities need to increase airflow and air changes where technically possible

Saunas, steam rooms and any equipment need to be cleaned regularly, at the beginning and end of the day and at regular intervals in-between.
