Female motorist 'obsessed' with getting space outside her home spends EIGHT MINUTES trying to reverse park

A WOMAN driver "obsessed with parking in a space outside her front door for 20 years" has been filmed taking eight minutes and more than 35 individual manoeuvres trying to bag her prized position.

The excruciating spectacle in north-west London was caught on camera by bus driver Ash Bhudia at 5pm on Monday January 30 as he was cleaning his bedroom.

Footage shows the woman taking 17 attempts to get in the spot and has to get out of her car four times to check the distances, in what Ash branded as the "worst parking fail" he has ever seen.

The charade lasts so long that after five minutes the car in front drives off, leaving her with a free run at the space, yet it still takes her another three and a half minutes to come to a standstill.

Ash captured the woman's attempts to navigate the Nissan Sunny into the space and provided a running commentary from his bedroom window.

Images show how the woman, believed to be in her late 40s, has allegedly hogged the spot over the past six years, though Ash claimed her obsession with the bay has lasted for 20 years.

The 27-year-old said: "I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's the worst parking fail I've seen, she shouldn't have a licence.

"I've seen some strange driving but nothing like this, when I saw her first two attempts I knew she wasn't going to make it so I quickly grabbed my phone and started filming.

"I was trying not to laugh as I was recording but as the footage shows, even when the other car left and there was plenty of space, it just wasn't her day."

Bus driver of four years Ash said that the woman was determined to shoe horn her car into the spit, despite him claiming there were other spaces on the road, as it was outside her front door.

Ash said: "She always wants to park in the same spot outside her house and was determined to get in that space but it just wasn't happening.

"Two years ago I parked my car there and she actually came over and asked me to move it."

Ash revealed that in all the years working as a professional bus driver he'd never seen a parking fail like it and if he'd been obstructed by the woman he would have taken matters into his own hands.

Ash said: "If I had been one of the cars being blocked I would have just got out of the car and parked it for her just to be able to get past – eight minutes is a long time to be waiting.

"I showed the video to my younger sister who's about to take her theory test and said 'this is someone beyond help'.

"When I first moved from driving a Vauxhall Corsa to a double-decker bus it was scary – I was so nervous.

"But after a certain amount of time your experience and confidence should improve but in her case it doesn't seem to have done.

"This woman shouldn't be on the road if she can't do a simple manoeuvre like that."

Last month, a bold motorist was left red-faced after parking on a stranger's private driveway and then finding himself blocked in for two hours.

The cheeky driver had parked his silver Audi over two spaces on a private drive – and when the occupant came back to find nowhere to park, they blocked him in.
