Harry faces tense reunion with royals as ‘King will choose Camilla’ over son

Prince Harry is set for a tense reunion with the Royal Family, as King Charles III is set to lay his loyalty with Camilla rather than his youngest son.

Despite the King saying he will take Prince Harry's memoir "on the chin", an insider has revealed that the former Prince of Wales will side with his wife over his son.

It comes as rumours break of King Charles III's reaction to the writing from the Duke of Sussex, who will face an outright "ban" from the coronation next year should any attacks be launched on the Queen.

The King is said to have been clear he would not take any attacks on his wife Camilla either.

A friend of Camilla, reported by Daily Express, said: "It is one thing for Harry to attack Charles, he can take it on the chin. [However] if Harry forces him to choose, by laying to Camilla in his book, I have no doubt he will choose Camilla.

"Almost everything Charles has done over the past twenty years has, in one way or another, been about getting Camilla accepted by the public. He loves her.

"He is incredibly protective of her and he couldn't do it without her. Even the Queen finally accepted that."

The comments come as a royal expert believes Harry could ditch his memoir entirely in the hopes of securing an invite to the coronation next May.

Daily Star had previously reported that "desperate" Harry could shelve his £35million memoir in the hopes of heading to his father's royal reception.

Rumours are continuing to swirl around the limbo the upcoming memoir finds itself in, with a release date for next year yet to be confirmed.

Royal experts appear mixed on what the eventual fate of the memoir will be, but Angela Levin believes it will be canned.

Binning off the multi-million biography comes as Prince Harry is allegedly "desperate to go to the coronation" with wife Meghan Markle.
