Met Police cop in same unit as Wayne Couzens in court charged with 13 sex offences against women including 3 rapes

A MET Police officer from the same unit as killer Wayne Couzens has today appeared in court charged with further rape counts.

PC David Carrick, 46, was already charged last month with one count of rape but is now facing 13 more offences.

The fresh charges include three counts of rape against two women and multiple sexual assaults against a third alleged victim.

Carrick is also charged with one count of false imprisonment and one of coercive and controlling behaviour.

The charges relate to three women and allegedly took place between 2017 and 2020.

Carrick, who has been suspended from the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, today appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

He spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth before he was remanded in custody to next appear at St Albans Crown Court on December 3.

It comes after he was charged with raping a woman after they shared drinks at two pubs in St Albans.

He allegedly claimed he had guarded Boris Johnson through his work.

Carrick, who was off-duty at the time, then raped the woman at a Premier Inn in St Albans, it is said.

The new charges were sent to the crown court to be joined with the previous alleged offence.

Carrick's arrest came just days after Couzens, 48, was given a whole life tariff for Sarah Everard's kidnap, rape and murder.

The fiend used his warrant card and handcuffs to abduct, rape, and kill Sarah, 33.

It is unclear if Carrick and Couzens were working in the Parliamentary Protection unit at the same time.
